Don't underestimate the power of a to-do list.
Every Sunday I plan out my big tasks for the week, such as classes, labs, days I volunteer, and big assignments or tests. This gives me peace of mind going into the week knowing that I have some amount of structure to my routine before I dive right in.
Each morning I block out my times to complete each task, more in depth. I give myself guidelines for what research needs to be complete, for how long I have to write my paper, and for the time I set aside to do a little quiz. From a day-to-day perspective this keeps all of my tasks do-able. Being able to see clearly what exactly I need to complete each day to stay in schedule helps me from getting side tracked or binge-watching my favourite shows all day.
It is important to include self-care tasks. Wether that be reading a book, taking time for a tea in the afternoon or even having a nap. You are just as important as your work.
To-Do lists are my favourite. They come in many forms; agenda, iPhone notes, loose pages ripped out of the closest notebook, sticky-notes, the back of my hand, or repeating them over and over again until I don't forget.
To-Do lists are a very powerful tool! USE IT
