New Years resolutions aren't exactly up my alley. I believe that it is important to constantly be working towards the best you that you can be. Some of the characteristics and practices that I want to bring to the forefront of my year include the following:
read for fun
read for education (not school related)
listen to my body (eat when I need to eat, drink when I need to drink, move when I needed to move, go to a new space to prevent mental blocks)
move my body (it doesn't matter how - walk, hike, run, swim, yoga)
take time for me, daily
be present (more experiences, less phone)
I am my top priority (more than school, more than work)
Most of this list is compiled of practices that I already try to incorporate in my life. This year is going to mark to start of me living for myself. These goals are not restricted to start January 1st and be completed by December 31st, but rather they are points of focus to highlight and maintain.
